so i sit here, almost happy for myself. i dont want to get ahead of myself before I know something is definate and for sure.
I have the strong possibility of changing jobs, from one where I love the people and atmosphere, the famous people introductions, good benefits, but not as financially substantial to one that is closer to where I live, I already have friends that work there, is more of a business atmosphere including my own desk and computer, with great benefits too, but pays much more. I have already made the decision to switch after much deliberation on my part. So basically, the hard part is over.
I have already had my resume viewed early thanks to a great friend of mine, and have successfully completed the first initial interview by phone. I am now awaiting the final interview, which will make or break the decision to hire me at this financially increasing position.
yet something still wanes on me.
i try to keep my eyes on my goal and remind myself of all the reasons why this is best for me.
-more money=more opportunity for savings, stock, and a more financial stable future that i SO want.
-the position is a job that I KNOW i can already handle with ease and am qualified for.
-its time to move onward and upward.
yet i have this nagging quality as i sit here in my current place of employment and look around, reminiscing and thinking about the people, and my history here.
i want to look at this place as a learning opportunity in which i was able to attain knowledge for future success, as well as some great friendships.
and i keep being told, by those who care, those who know me, those who have ESP, and mostly myself, that i need to stop thinking soley on others, what they want, what they feel and endure, and what i can do to help them. I NEED to think about me. Its about time. I cant seem to escape that factor about myself, and it makes me angry when i find myself doing it over and over.
i think i will feel better when i finally know the definate answer to my future with this new company. then i can focus on what is expected of me, by them and from myself in order to succeed and finally think of my needs and wants.
those who truly love, care about me, think of me, and want me to be happy--true friends and family, will be happy for me and want me to succeed with this change. I love those people. Everything does happen for a reason. this change is for the better. i want more for me. i want to do more. be more. have more. i want more to show for my life. i know this sounds like im putting alot of expectation into this job, but when i say all this, im not just talking about the new job. Its just the launching point for change in my life, thats all.
i'm happy with my life, but i want to be excited, free and happy.
I'm really tired of worrying all the time is what it mainly is.
we shall see how it goes :)
whew!..sometimes it just feels better to get it all out...LOL

I'm not sure if some of you know or not, but on June 18th we had to put my dog of 13 years down because she had cancer. My mom wrote a poem about her, dedicated to her, that was read to her before she went under. I recently found it, and wanted to post it up:)

Thank you Poppy for your love
you have loved us for 13 years
we met you when you were the size of your head
you taught us to say what we mean and mean what we say
you taught us co-operation, and unity
you are every bit "doggie-peoples"
you taught us patience
you taught us that firmness and kindness are far better than anger

Why is it that when you are a little child, in your toddler years, does everyone make it so important that you learn how to speak, and speak correctly?
They are so happy when you can say their names, and recognize objects by name, put sentences together, and finally carry on conversations.
Then after those glorious moments in time...
for the rest of your life, after learning such a once-important necessity, you are forever told to be quiet...

libraries, school, work, at home, in hospitals, movies, etc...

sometimes things just don't make any sense to me...LOL

on a brighter note-EJ made my day again...he keeps doing that!:) i enjoy it.

i just bought the second season of golden girls on DVD!!!

So I had my interview with Bob Warlock today at noon for the Coordinator of Volunteer Services Position. It was at noon.
Can I just say how hot I looked today? And you know that when you look hot, you feel good. So I was on the ball.
I went in and was my natural self. It went better than I had thought. I just felt the entire time like no matter what their questions were, I had the exact right answers, determined by their responses and facial expressions.
I was told that I was second in consideration for the position, so there was a strong chance that I would get the job. Hmmm...second out of about 150 applicants...yeah, thanks:)
It is definately a pay increase, and diva knows that a salary position is very yummy. the job requires more than i expected, but from what i was told, i will very much enjoy it. it was like me and this position are meant to be...LOL
I looked good, felt good, did well and had my whole day made after my interview. everyone is really supportive, and i really want it.
we will see what happens.

yes, i did wear my kenneth cole pants...i wonder if that had anything to do with it...*wink*

I couldn't sleep...so now I'm awake...that makes sense..LOL

I have an interview on Monday with the Director of Operations at noon for the Coordinator of Volunteer Services position. YAY! I made it to interviews...

I have just bought my very first virgin piece of...dum..dum..dum..Kenneth Cole Clothing!! I know, I know I almost fell over when it happened. They are so beautiful, and so comfy, yet simple. They are jet black dress pants with a cross-over button and lined cotton pockets. Eh..they're ok...LOLOL:)

I have so many things bothering me at once that I can't sort them out, much less talk about them yet. I feel like I am in a holding pattern...which sucks.

I need to get more sleep.

I want to go shopping for furniture.

Sometimes I miss you like crazy.

Chicken would be soooo good right about now.

Golden Girls season 2 goes on sale in 3 days.

I will have 4 days off for my birthday, if I go to work everyday until then. I will be in this state.

I think I have Nicole's cold...or allergies.

Booie steals my stuff and hides it...damn little bugger:)

I would like to thank everyone who was there for me when I needed them. I really appreciate your phonecalls, emails, letters, cards and smiles. It's so great to know that I have people out there who love me, and are there in times that maybe aren't so great.
We are all doing pretty ok. My mother, I think has taken the biggest blow from this. But she's pulling through and is strong. She always has been. Shoot, thats why I am...:)
But I wanted you all to know that I did get them, and I really love them, and you. Thank you again.
For a while, I didn't think that it was ok for me to smile, or enjoy myself with whatever I was doing. I felt it wasn't right. Like I shouldn't be happy that the sun is shining, mariah is singing, I get to sleep in or have a day off, laugh with my girls, or even go dancing because from now on, she will never be able to. For a while, that crushed me, but then I realized I can't be sad because I'm living my life. I can be sad because she is no longer, and always have a place in my heart for that, and her. But I know that she would hate it if everyone was sad for her. She and I always had this rule, that if you cry, you cry for 10 mins and thats it...LOL
I broke that rule for a few days.
But all is good now, as best as it can be. I will always think of her, and always love her, even though for the past few years, we didn't really connect too well. Maybe we can connect more now.
So, if you see me, please don't be worried about me, or be weird in any way. I'm good. Diva heals. And when I laugh, its ok. I'm not hiding anything or faking anything. I truly will be laughing because I'm happy at that time.
Things happen. They do. Sometimes they are good. Sometimes they are bad, but they happen. Thats life. Everything happens for some reason or another. So instead of missing, and crying for what is over, I'm gonna smile because it happened. She happened. I love that.
So, thank you always. I love you guys.

1.PICK ONE OF YOUR SCARS OUT, NOW HOW DID YOU GET IT AND WHEN?
I have a scar below my tummy button. its there because once upon a time, i had a steel bar installed into my lower abdomen with two little balls capping each end that stuck out of my skin. it was for ornamentation to go along with my button piercing. well the bar started to try and make its way through my skin(ick) and had even made alittle hole where you could see the bar through the skin. needless to say, that puppy is outta there. i keep the bar in a box now to remind me never to make the stupid decision of thinking that steel should dwell beneath my skin layers.

2. WHAT IS ON THE WALLS IN YOUR ROOM?
a large mirror..surprise, surprise. no no..i just havent unpacked anything from when i moved back in with my mom, because i knew it was temporary.

3. WOULD YOU RATHER PLAY FOOTBALL OR WATCH IT?
neither..i think its boring. isnt golden girls on? come on its on like all day...LOL

4. WHAT SPORT WOULD YOU SAY YOU ARE BEST AT?
i like playing some sports at different times. but im not really the best at them. i guess it was that whole no male role model, and lack of interest in them thats handicapped me. dancing, singing, sleeping, writing, talking, laughing, arguing, hugging, these should be sports..i kick ass at 'em.

5. WHAT WAS YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE?
i could feel myself being frantically chased in the dark, outside in the woods by someone, until i fall off a cliff at the edge of the woods, into a lake or ocean. i manage to get myself onto shore only to meet my chaser, waiting for me. i cant see their face or anything because of the water in my eyes and the dark, but i can definately feel them stabbing me and punching me over and over again. i then felt myself die, slowly, until i wake up. it was one of those dreams that are so real, you actually make noise, and cry out in your sleep. i could smell the pine trees of the woods, taste the salt and feel the chill of the cold water as my body collapsed into it. i felt the morbidly damp sensation of the wet sand beneath me. i saw the moon, and felt the wind rush past my falling body when i fell. i felt my heart pounding in my chest, the sweat collecting on the back of my neck and middle of my back, from running, the ground beneath my feet, and the fear in my stomach. i felt the piercing of the knife plunging into my flesh, the scraping of the blade against my bones. i felt the blunt connection that bones make when a fist hits your cheekbone and mouth. i heard myself scream and my assailant's footsteps as they walked casually away. i felt my breath stagger, and my heart slow down. i felt my blood leak from the fresh openings made in my body. i could feel myself become very quiet and everything around me just fade away. then i woke up and it took a few moments to realize that i was home, in bed, just fine. i hate those types of dreams, you know the ones that seem so real, you dont remember where you are when you wake.

6. HOW DO YOU EXERCISE?
dancing, and weight training. sometimes i do the bike. yoga everynow and then to stay limber...mostly for dancing at the club...LOL

A little while back, Nina and I were in her room at school, and we having a visit. She had compiled a list of which golden girl did each of the sistas resemble most, just for fun. She had asked my opinion on the outcome, and I wanted to share the results. See if you agree.
Now since each of us has many layers to our personalities, and each of the golden girls do also, but are more fitting to the roles they have, two of the girls was assigned to fit each of us.

1. gum: wintergreen
2. restaurant: olive garden is the only restaurant that as of right now I can say that is really amazing. I just love it. Thanks Nina!
3. drink: i love milk, and sierra mist keeps ending up in my tum tum..how does that happen?
4. season: i love summer. everyone seems in a great mood, and you can do sooo much.
5. type of weather: warm, and partly sunny, with just enough mixture of clouds and sun.
6. emotion: Joy
7. thing to do on a half day: play
8. late-night activity: dancing and laughing, watchin movies, and golden girls...umm, sleeping-hello?
9. sport: is dancing a sport?? if not, i like volleyball and soccer is fun

12. cried: one lonely night when missing you became utterly unbearable. sometimes during random times in sentimental movies, ill tear. hey, under the rough diva, its soft and kinda nice.
13. played a sport: omg...i cant even remember. video games?? dancing?
14. laughed: watching the infamous diva videos of our madness tonight. i so know why we are all so close. we just cant help it.

18. felt overworked: that night we went dancing and stayed up in nicoles car all night talking, and then to starbucks, and then i just stayed up to do a 10 hour shift at work the next day for a show. i forgot my name twice. i would start sentences, but couldnt for the life of me, finish them. thoughts were there, and then they were gone. i could hear my heart. i cant believe i was able to talk with customers. wow.

68. when love hurts, i: i know its bad, but i ignore it. i take away the hurt's power, and carry it until it fades away. if that doesnt work, i finally break down and cry. i hate crying. i rarely do it. not many people have witnessed it.
